I’m a triple threat. Tall, curly, & plus size. People can’t assume that tall people play basketball. I don’t assume that short people play miniature golf.
As a 6’1″ girl with banana curly hair, I must say there are too few of us non model thin tall women who are proud of who we are. We are imperfect, but we are perfect in our imperfection. We should be proud to wear high heels, and take it as a compliment when ever a stranger says “my god, you’re tall!” I just discovered your blog, and I hope you stick around for a long time to come!
Thank you for your message ! I hope to stick around for a while too ! ๐
And you’re absolutely right ! The combination tall + thin + the face of Tyra Banks + being acclaimed all around the world is a lot to expect isn’t it…
We should, we need, we HAVE to be proud of what makes us unique and beautiful in our own way in our own life. WITH what makes us different ! I feel so LUCKY to be different, shouldn’t we all ? ๐
Isn’t it what beauty should be all about ? Variety ! Infinite possibilities of combinations making us all unique and therefore beautiful in our own way ? What if all the flowers had to be pink with 25 petals to be beautiful ? What if all the cats had to be grey with black lines to be beautiful ? Wouldn’t the world be boring ??
And what about a life full of “I wish I was” and “I wish I wasn’t”… isn’t it going to be veeeeery long and boring too ?
Because of what media teach us about beauty, it’s very easy to understand why most of us don’t see the tiniest reflection of their own beauty in other people’s eyes. Therefore it’s not by talking about it that we’ll make them realize how beautiful we all are. It’s not by hoping one day they will stop singling us out with their questions and remarks, they won’t. It’s only by knowing and seeing our own beauty ourselves and by feeling and acting confident about who and how we are that things will truly change. How can you not see the beauty of a woman who knows she’s beautiful ?? ๐
And this is true for every single woman on this planet !
Tallies, curlies, shorties, biggies, skinnies… That’s the body we came on Earth with, so we either enjoy it or nothing !

I love the end! I’m everything but the tall part. Especially the “and crazy and spacey and…” LOL!
