Hi Tall n Curly!!!!
I’m so happy I’ve found your website!!! I totally identify myself and I looove your artistry!!!! Really! I’m definitely a tall girl, and I totally know the “pants” problem! But let me tell you that I’m facing other troubles as being a tall and curly girl. I’ve been through all the “I don’t know how to handle my hair and the naturalista thing is too complicated!” and all the “I dated guys that wanted to achieve their “the tall girl with long legs fantasy”! But the biggest problem is being tall, curly annnnnnd CHUBBY! Yes I’m a curvy girl too! Yes, tall and curvy!! and I have to fight this too! So, let me tell you as a late 80’s girl, how initiatives like your work is inspiring and help particular girls like me get confidence in themselves. Keep up what you’re coin with your refreshing sense of humour!! It will be the new way to lift up my mind when I can’t find a jeans that fits in length and size!!!
Hi Janie! π
Thank you so much for your cheerful message! π I’m always happy to know when I’ve contributed to bring a smile on a face who needed one <3
Tall N Curly N Curvy! π Girl enjoy the extra everything of yourself!! As I always say, no one can ignore the beauty of a woman who knows she's beautiful :)) who cares about the size of pants, this modern world was not designed for us outlaws anyway so why bother! ;)) Let it shine!!
This was found very offensive and nt accurate. Like wtf “bought jeans just because they were long enough” tall girls actually look way better in clothes than short girls. And normal clothes for tall girls…have u heard of the size medium!? Like idk if ur a tall girls or short girl but tall girls look amazing in heels cuz of their mile long legs. And that’s why models are usually tall because they look better in clothes. So idk what planet u came from but please email me because I would like an explanation to why this article is like this. Please email me.
As you – not – kindly asked me to, I’m responding to your rude comment.
First let me tell you that I think you seriously lack some sense of humor.
Second, to answer all of your questions, I assume you didn’t take the time to read any of my other posts nor did you take the time to notice the name of my blog, which is TALL n curly. By this I mean that I personally am a tall girl myself, standing proudly at almost 6′ high. So to answer your question : I’m from the planet of tall girls.
My blog is about bringing together tall girls from everywhere and to laugh all together at the issues we might encounter someday. Buying jeans only because they were long enough and not because we liked them being one of them.
I also wear high heels and encourage other tall girls to wear high heels too, but you would know that, had you ever taken the time to read some of my other posts.
Also thank you for trying to bring it to my attention, but yes, I’ve heard of the size medium. Actually the size medium doesn’t fit my 6′ long body.
Last but not least, you say:
“tall girls actually look way better in clothes than short girls”
I truly hope you don’t walk around in life saying things like that, despising maybe 90% of the female population of the world. Simply please note that I don’t condone such a statement, as although I mainly talk about tall girls issues here, my blog is about inspiring girls and women of all sizes, shapes and colors to love and embrace themselves just the way they are.
So now don’t blame me for a harsh response. You can’t land on somebody else’s blog, somebody you don’t know and never spoke to before, and didn’t even take the time to read about, and send them messages with “WTF”s and “what planet u came from” and “I would like an explanation to”.
I’m an open-minded, nice and polite person, and I am the same person in real life as I am on my blog. I’m always happy to get and answer to comments from people who feel like sharing their thoughts with me, wether we agree or not on a matter, as long as it’s done in a respectful manner. But I don’t put up with any kind of disrespect, especially when it comes from a person who is prone to make judgements about someone she knows nothing about.
All you’ve just said could have been said in a respectful way, simply asking questions so I could explain to you what I think you didn’t get in my post. Although it’s very common nowadays especially on the internet, with some people thinking that by talking on a harsh tone they will show others how strong they are, aggressiveness is not a sign of a strong personality, it’s actually the opposite, and it leads nowhere but to some place where you’re simply sent your aggressiveness back.
ahahhhahh sooo very true.. well, I’m a 6ft4 girl, the only country I’ve been to where people haven’t been pointing at me and dragging their friends by the sleeve to look at me is the Netherlands; everywhere else, including my home country, I often feel as a circus attraction! Great work, ypu made ma laugh – keep tall and proud :D!
Funny, I am 5 ‘ 7 ” and I can so relate. I won’t say only like others in this category because that is tall in and of itself. I get asked on more than one occasion how tall am I and forget it If I am wearing heels. And don’t get me started on the intimidation folks feel when I am towering over them (male or female). So 5’7″ may not seem that tall it is tall enough to get folks asking the same questions the 5’9″ers and up are getting. Also the clothes well yeah problems there too……Between the crazy questions I get about my height, hair, relationship status, one would think I am an alien from another planet or something……Glad I am not alone…..SMH and LOLOLOL
I love this blog! I am 6’2” with curves I am 21 yrs old and finding clothes especially jeans is so hard I barely go shopping anymore. With my length and width its sometimes twice as hard. With tall women in general I feel like besides our height there is something so special about us. Anyways love the blog keep up the good work π
I love this! I’m only 5’7″ but I can relate to clothes problems (I’m leggy and thin). Apparently finding petite/tall pants is like trying to find a dwarf in Erebor…
Hehehe, Navi, love it, it’s a complement!!!! Well I am only 5.7″ so I am Short N Kynky π π π
Love the posts dear, keep them coming!!!
Smiles!!!
I love your animations!!! i’m not as tall as you, but i have the same dilemma with clothes and stuff. Especially the wearing the dress as a tunic. I do that all the time.
Lol…its the arms that got me…o my goodness, my arms are just to long…am 5’11 people stop me in supermarkets and ask me to get stuff from the high shelves for them…..your blog is the best honestly
Thank you Didi ! π
lol I must admit sometimes I look at my arms and I’m just like… WHAT ARE YOU DOING ???
They use so much of the available space… lol
Ok, this is AWESOME!! I’m 5’11”, and I can so relate, with all of it! THANK YOU for creating a blog like this that addresses the issues that curlies AND tall girls face!
