I am 9,5 feet and the boys in my class need to keep their eyes off the boobs. I mean that they are pervs. By the way… If you were in 3rd grade and had a crush on a 5th grader while being in the same classwould you crwd him or let him come. He IS shy. We are just friends. For now…
You shouldn’t be concerned with dating at your age, but if you really really like him, then just do your best to be near him. Don’t crowd him, but let him know that you are there. If you feel brave enough you can tell him that you like him. If you do that though, try to be at least a little certain that he likes you too.
Also, if those guys staring at your boobs are making you uncomfortable or are behaving in an inappropriate way, then tell your teacher. That all depends on how much it bothers you, though.
“friend”: You shouldn’t wear heels. You’re already too tall. You don’t need them. *hangs on my arm to pull me down*
me: *shrugs* I don’t need them but I like them. *stands a little taller*
Yep… I dun care. I wear what I want *snaps*. Just found this blog today and I’m hooked. Besides, some outfits are only done justice when worn with heels. This comic made me laugh out loud for real. Love it! Thank you.
Yeah… People who try to damage the confidence in others, because they don’t have it in themselves… I just cannot empathize. It is just such a juvenile act of destruction of both others and one’s own self.. I guess the thought process goes something like “*See confident person* *Be reminded of lack of confidence in self and therefore feel negative emotions* *Attack confidence of seen person to remove the “cause” of the negative emotions*”, rather than actually deal with/come to terms with the reason for one’s lacking confidence.
How is it not obvious that the first “solution” actually does the opposite of help one’s problem, because it trains one not to find ways to feel better about oneself and who one is!
How does a “solution” that only serves to prolong the problem of the user, in addition to consisting of being horrible to another person become this popular!
*sigh*
Thanks for making this comic. It helps to see these behaviors described, so I can deal with my emotions regarding them. You are awesome.
Oh yah, I’ve come across a few of these types. I just tell myself to smile politely at them and say nothing. Now I think I’ll start responding in interpretive dance. Hehehe!
Oh no, I feel so so badly! When i was younger I would ask tall girls why they wore heels and none of them seemed to mind, but your comics have reminded me how rude it is, and this particular comic really hits home. I mean, I would hate it if people asked me why i wore flats. On behalf of all shorties, I’d like to say I’m sorry.
Oh Leah.. You’re so very sweet π Do not worry, no apologies needed. I wasn’t pointing out people who ask WHY a tall girl like me would wear heels – although it can be a bit annoying I have to admit – but rather people who just wish other people wouldn’t feel confident just because they don’t feel confident in the first place. That can lead to the kind of situation I depict in the comic. And you can apply this to many other situations, not only tall girls problems. You’re safe ! π
