Safe space for free speech for Stray Curls fans who are not happy

I’m creating this post so that Stray Curls fans who have been directed here through her post about “Cyber bullying” can express themselves freely. I haven’t read it personally so I don’t know what she’s saying exactly, but I was told about it.

You have been told some things. It’s your right to believe it.

You probably don’t know me. My name is Cheyan and I’m the creator of the Tall N Curly comics, which I started 5 years ago, back in 2012.

You’ve probably been told that I claim being the owner of “curly hair problems” (that’s what she’s said on her IG account). Please note that I never said that. Many girls are creating curly hair comics and I never went after them. Why? Because they create their own content.

Then you probably have been told that the similarities between SC comics and mine are coincidences. If you believe that, it’s because you haven’t looked close enough at the right comics.

Because she was afraid people would find out the truth, she sent me an email telling me to remove the “copyrighted” images I had posted which clearly demonstrated what I’m saying. Now you can only investigate by yourselves. Or not.

All I want you to know is: NO I don’t have a problem with people creating curly hair comics. I never had. I’m also aware that on the internet, people find inspiration in each other, and even that people can have the same idea at the same time. Once. Maybe twice. What I have a problem with is waking up and seeing 15+ of my comics slightly twisted and shared all over the internet as someone else’s creation.

If you don’t believe me, it’s fine. I’ve been here doing my thing for 5 years and I plan on keeping on doing it. If you want to fact-check, you’ll have to scroll through my 200+ comics and through hers objectively. Then, maybe, you will find your answers.

If you don’t want to take the time to do that to make up your own mind and just want to troll and insult me for free, feel free to do so in the comments below.
